i bought episodes one and two today. downloaded and installed them. when i first went to play the game the screen went black and i had to restart my console. now when i try and play it it comes on but the display is totally distorted and unreadable. every time i try i have to restart the console. i dont have problems playing any other games on my console. does anyone have any advice? -

- What screen type you are using (Standard Definition / High Definition)
- What display resolution your console is set to (576i/720p/1080p...)
- What firmware your console is running
Whilst we look into this matter, you can try deleting all Blue Toad Murder Files data from your console - (game data, save data, trophy data and game file) and re-installing to see if this resolves the issue.

hiya, im using hd set to 1080p. im ashamed to say i dont know what you mean by firmware :), im not really a console fiend. i do have the latest software update for my machine though if that has any relevence.LiamW_RSPosted: 17/12/2009

i already deleted the game and am in the process of downloading it again to see if that will work.

nope, ive deleted both of them and redownloaded and installed episode one and its still the same. what a shame i was looking forward to it, not to mention the money!!! -

Hey Juliet Bravo,
Yes the firmware is the current system software version of your console, the latest to be released by Sony is 3.15.
This sounds like it could be a display settings issue. Blue Toad Murder Files supports up to 720p only in the display settings. Usually your console will re-adjust the display for you but if you say only have the 1080p box ticked, then your console will try to load the game in 1080p and experience problems.
The best advice I can give is to go to your display settings in the console settings menu and select the 'custom' option. Then when given the option boxes after the connection type which for example you use HDMI,ensure all of the display boxes are ticked (576p/720p/1080i/1080p).
If they aren't ticked already, this may be the best method to try and hopefully it should work. -

i had the same problem, but i fixed is with the screen settings, just go there and set it to lower resolution and then set setting to 1080p again. worked for me,
btw my english is not so good.
but i can still not play episode 2. -

I have also just brought this game at the Playstation Store, and the game does not display properly, I tried deleting then re installing, yet it still doesn't work. None of the graphics display, its all pixels and blurry, I noticed that you can only download this game upto 5 times, so do not want to re install again, until it is fixed. I am very disappointed with this game, and would expect a brand new game like this to work. -

I am having the same problem.
My TV is not True HD but I am running on Composite connection at 1080i.
Could you confirm that it will run at this res or does the TV have to be HD?
My ps3 firmware is the latest version.
